Once again, Overland Media had the honor of being the official photography and videography supplier for the 2024 Channel 7 Crab Festival in Mandurah. This annual event is one of the city’s biggest celebrations, attracting over 150,000 attendees from all over Western Australia and beyond. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, it’s an event that brings together the local community and visitors alike, offering a packed schedule of live music, family-friendly activities, food stalls, celebrity appearances, and so much more.
Our team was excited to capture the essence of the festival, from the energy of the live performances to the laughter and excitement of families enjoying the kids' entertainment. The Crab Festival is one of those rare occasions where you can witness the entire community coming together to celebrate Mandurah’s unique culture, food, and lifestyle. Whether it was shooting the cocktail-making competitions, the bustling market stalls, or the Australian celebrities mingling with festival-goers, we made sure to document every moment of the action.
Throughout the event, we were on the ground capturing not just the highlights, but also the behind-the-scenes moments that tell the true story of this exciting festival. We used a variety of techniques, including aerial drone shots to showcase the grand scale of the event, as well as close-up shots to capture the joy and excitement of the attendees.
