At Overland Media, we love telling stories that capture the heart and soul of Australian creatives, and working with Norm Wilson was a truly special experience. Norm Wilson is an Australian landscape artist based in Mandurah, Western Australia, whose stunning artwork beautifully portrays the natural beauty of our country.

In this short documentary, Norm shares what inspires him, reflects on his artistic journey, and gives us a glimpse into what life is like as a professional artist. From his early influences to his creative process, we had the privilege of capturing his passion and dedication to his craft. Art, for Norm, is more than just painting—it’s a way of life. His ability to bring landscapes to life on canvas is something truly special, and we wanted to make sure that this film showcased both the man and his artistry in an authentic and compelling way.

Spending time with Norm, we found him to be not only an incredibly talented artist but also a genuine, down-to-earth gentleman. His love for the Australian landscape shines through in every brushstroke, and his commitment to his work is both inspiring and humbling. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to share his story through our cinematography and storytelling.
